"I choose" days and first frost
The first rounds of "I choose" days felt like a practice run. The food planning was fun ahead of time, but once the day took off, there were suddenly lots to decide, and perhaps we did not need quite as many decisions to be happy.
Breakfasts were important to decide on, the rest of the day decreasingly so. However, we baked, made various flavor experiments, hiked to grill sausage on an open fire, scrambled on rocks (well, kids more than me). A friend came to stay and joined in. The monopoly game got into good use as well.
Not a bad strategy to help fix a couple of unstructured days!
Next up, we are taking a few days off and going to a cottage with friends. This morning the temperature had dipped below freezing, so we went to see how frosty it was. The forecast for first snow as far south as in Central Finland this Sunday seems suddenly much more realistic!
