Kävimme lauantaina hakemassa Roscoen kotiin. Ajomatkaa ei ollut kuin puolisen tuntia ja matka kissakassissa sujui hyvin - kassi on edelleenkin kiva leikkipaikka.
On Saturday we went to pick up Roscoe to bring him home. It was just an half an hour drive, and the cat carrier worked fine - he still likes to play in it.
Ihan ensimmäiseksi Karolle kerrottiin, että tämmöinen rääpäle on nyt tullut taloon. Karo on utelias, mutta suhtautuu äärimmäisen rauhallisesti uuteen tulokkaaseen. Kissan ensimmäinen reaktio oli sännätä valtavassa kaaressa kaapin alle, mutta nyt on käyty jo itsekseen vähän nuuhkimassa koiran petiä ja vähän häntääkin.
Karo was introduced to the new little runt in the house. She is curious but very gentle and calm about the newcomer. The cat's first proper reaction to the dog was to dart under the dresser, but now he has marched into the living room to sniff the dog's bed, and even the tail.
Roscoen ensimmäinen kotipesä on makuuhuoneen nurkassa. Ihan lähellä toisiaan on laatikko, nukkumapaikka, ruokaa ja vettä, sekä paljon hienoja piilopaikkoja. Päiväunensa Roscoe nukkuu keskellä sänkyä peiton alla. Yöunista emme ole ihan varmoja.
Roscoe's first nest is in the corner of the bedroom. There is a litter box, a sleeping basket, some food and water, all next to a fantastic maze of hiding places. Roscoe naps in the middle of the bed, under the covers. About the night, we are not quite sure.
Kaikki pitää nuuskia. Ja vauhti on niin kova, ettei kamera pysy mukana.
Everything needs sniffing and checking out. He is too fast for the camera.
Roscoen kotipesä: kantolaatikko, jossa voi nukkua ja leikkiä. Hiekkalaatikko (joka jossain vaiheessa siirtyy vessaan). Ruokaa ja vettä, ja sitten hieno kiipeilytorni, johon hän osaa hypätä jo itsekin.
Roscoe's home base: his cat carrier, which is fun to play and sleep in. The litter box (which eventually will go to live in the bathroom). Some food and water, of course, and the home made cat tower, which he can already jump to from the bed.
